Can be made on any standard gauge knitting machine. Lace is hand transferred, and instructions are written for manual ribbing; a ribber may be used instead if one is available.
Sample garment was knitted from Scheepjes Cotton 8 50-gram balls, 100% cotton. 6 (7-7-8-9-10-12) balls required for short sleeve version, 8 (9-9-10-11-12-14) balls for long sleeve version.
Gauge 28 sts, 40 rows per 10 cm, 7 sts, 10 rows per inch. Fabric shrinks lengthwise, so measure gauge after washing and drying flat. It also stretches out again when worn, and you might like to knit a smaller size than usual.
