This garment is an introduction to knitting Fairisle round neck pullovers. It is designed very simply, but does have short row shaping on the front to lower the neck a little, making it more comfortable to wear and to eliminate the bulge that often occurs at the bottom of the yoke.

Any lightweight yarn, such as sock, fingering, or 4-ply, that will knit to correct gauge may be used. Sample is knitted in two colors, and requires approximately 14-18 oz (400-500 grams) main color and 3 oz (85 grams) contrast.

Gauge 28 sts, 40 rows per 10 cm, 7 sts, 10 rows per inch.
